PT Bakrie Autoparts has a long and storied history in foundry manufacturing. We have been pioneers in this industry for years and are known for taking innovative steps. We are very proud of our achievements and everyone who has led us here.
- 1975
Start with a small business
Established under the name PT Bakrie Tubemakers, we began commercial production of malleable pipe. This marked the beginning of our company.
We had no idea how far we would go; we weren’t even sure we would survive for a few years.
What drove us to start the company was the belief that we could provide a service no one else did. - 1981
Change to PT Bakrie Tosanjaya (BTJ)
The management agreed to change the company’s name to PT Bakrie Tosanjaya.
- 1982
PT Bakrie Tosanjaya is 100% owned by PT Bakrie & Brothers
This year, PT Bakrie Tosanjaya became 100% owned by PT Bakrie & Brothers.
- 1983
Producing Automotive Component
Produced automotive components for vehicles and heavy-duty equipment in the domestic market.
- 1985
Joint Venture PT BMC with KTB
Established PT Braja Mukti Cakra (BMC), a joint venture company with PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motor (Mitsubishi)

BTJ enlarged i'ts export Market
BTJ expanded its operations to overseas markets, including Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Italy, and France.

BTJ received Certificate ISO
BTJ received ISO TS16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000/SS accreditation certificates.

BTJ Received ISO 14001 Certification

Transformation of Automotive Business to PT Bakrie Autoparts
Transformed into an integrated automotive component manufacturer as PT Bakrie Autoparts, continuing to the present.

PT Bakrie Autoparts added an electric bus business
Launched an electric bus joint venture with BYD
- 2022
PT Bakrie Autoparts was acquired by PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas
Focused on foundry manufacturing and the electric bus business, operations moved to VKTR.
